They're seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to help ensure their work environments remain safe and compliant.
Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time, onsite Safety Manager to oversee health and safety programs across our construction projects. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols that protect our team members while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety programs and policies in compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks for employees at all levels
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety records and prepare required documentation and reports
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety considerations into project planning
- Stay current with changes in safety regulations and recommend program updates accordingly
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections or investigations
- Create and foster a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of safety management experience in the construction industry
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and industry safety standards
- OSHA 30-hour certification required; additional safety certifications (CSP, CHST, etc.) strongly preferred
- Experience developing and delivering safety training programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with safety management software and Microsoft Office applications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to access all areas of construction sites, including climbing ladders, navigating uneven terrain, and entering confined spaces when necessary
- Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between multiple project sites as needed

Location
This position is based at our Princeton, NJ office with regular visits to active project sites in the surrounding area.
