What You'll Accomplish

Engineering Leadership

  • Develop and negotiate engineering scope for commercial and industrial projects
  • Perform sophisticated load calculations using Trane Trace 700 software
  • Conduct life-cycle cost analyses to optimize system performance and energy efficiency
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations

Project Collaboration

  • Partner with operations teams to align construction budgets with engineering requirements
  • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, structural, and civil teams
  • Manage relationships with corporate clients including architects, developers, and contractors

Technical Excellence

  • Design comprehensive HVAC systems including ductwork, air distribution, and piping
  • Develop complete plumbing systems from sanitary/vent to domestic water distribution
  • Conduct field inspections and provide technical guidance to design teams
  • Mentor Revit designers/drafters and mechanical engineers

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Active Professional Engineer license
  • 5-10 years of commercial/industrial HVAC design experience
  • 5-10 years of mechanical and plumbing system design or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Trane Trace 700 load and energy modeling software
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Understanding of mechanical system costs and installation processes
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
