About the Role
Our client, a prominent company in the construction industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their accounting team in San Juan. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a background in finance or accounting who excels in managing financial records with accuracy and efficiency. As part of the team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth operations and supporting impactful construction projects across Puerto Rico.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage accounts payable, including verifying, coding, and posting invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address discrepancies or billing issues
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain accurate and organized records of transactions, vendor communications, and payment histories
- Collaborate with purchasing and project teams to streamline invoicing and payment processes
- Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data and generate financial reports for management review
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Bilingual (English and Spanish), with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report preparation
- Preferred: Experience in the construction industry with knowledge of industry-specific invoicing and payment practices
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
