Job Overview

We are looking for a bilingual Diesel Mechanical Maintenance Manager with extensive experience supervising equipment and operations in the asphalt industry. If you have strong leadership skills and a solid technical background in diesel engines and heavy machinery, this is your opportunity to join a leading construction company in Puerto Rico. Must be willing to relocate to Puerto Rico.

Pay:

Salary Full time- Open DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (rare weekend)

Car Allowance: $700/mo plus free gas

Relocation: Assist with relocation expenses and pay for travel back home once per month for the first several months!
PTO: 15 vacation, 12 sick

Responsibilities:

· Supervise and coordinate the preventive and corrective maintenance of the diesel vehicle and equipment fleet.

· Manage and lead the team of mechanics, ensuring compliance with safety and productivity standards.

· Evaluate, diagnose, and approve complex repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

· Maintain control over parts inventory and ensure efficient use of resources.

· Establish and monitor maintenance plans, meeting time and budget goals.

Basic Requirements:

· Up-to-date mechanic license or permit issued by the Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works.

· Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in diesel engine and heavy machinery maintenance.

· Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and transmission systems operation and maintenance.

· Experience in budget management and operational cost control.

· Ability to lead and develop teams, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

· Valid driver’s license (Category 8 preferred).

· Proficiency in maintenance and inventory management software.

· Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to assess field operations outdoors and under various weather conditions.

· Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required by operations.

· Ability to supervise tasks that require physical effort and repetitive movements.
