Lead Control Systems Engineer (Emerson DeltaV)

PeopleLift is partnering with a leading global automation and control systems integration firm to identify a Lead Control Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Emerson DeltaV.

This role is designed for an experienced automation professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, leading project teams, and working directly with clients in highly regulated industries.

You will lead end-to-end automation projects—from system architecture and functional design through implementation, testing, and commissioning—supporting organizations across Life Sciences, Specialty Chemicals, and advanced manufacturing environments.

This is an opportunity to play a key technical leadership role while contributing to high-impact projects with global organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Emerson DeltaV systems, including system architecture, configuration, and implementation.

Project Delivery

Lead complex automation projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery on schedule, within scope, and aligned with quality standards.

Client Collaboration

Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, translating operational requirements into robust and scalable control system solutions.

Team Development

Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers while fostering strong engineering standards and knowledge sharing.

Advanced Control Strategy

Design and implement Batch (ISA-88) and Continuous Control strategies within the DeltaV environment.

Required Qualifications

Experience

5+ years of experience in Process Automation, Controls Engineering, or Systems Integration

DeltaV Expertise

Hands-on experience with DeltaV configuration including:

• Control Modules
• Graphics
• Batch
• Security
• Hardware Configuration

Experience with DeltaV PK Controllers or DeltaV Live is considered a plus.

Industry Experience

Experience working in Life Sciences (GMP / validated environments), Specialty Chemicals, or similar process industries.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Electrical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Computer Science
or a related technical discipline.

Leadership & Communication

Ability to lead technical teams and communicate complex engineering concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
