About the Client:
Our client, a leader in the corrugated packaging industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for their third shift operations in Philadelphia. This is a critical role where you will lead efforts to maintain and enhance the facility's equipment and infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations that directly impact the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
- Lead and enforce compliance with safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and all company policies, procedures, and GMPs.
- Monitor and promote employee health and welfare, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment.
- Conduct performance appraisals, reward and discipline employees as necessary, and ensure compliance with the collective bargaining unit agreement.
- Manage staffing levels, actively prevent and address vacancies, and foster professional relationships within the team.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate the continuous training and development of team members at all skill levels.
Maintenance Duties:
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans by machine, ensuring parts and shifts are fully prepared for both planned and unplanned maintenance interventions.
- Equip the maintenance team with the correct tools and parts before starting any job, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Oversee the proper storage of incoming and refurbished parts, and ensure the system is updated upon receipt.
- Conduct follow-ups with machine crews to verify that completed work meets company standards and is effective.
- Utilize maintenance software systems to efficiently manage daily and weekly repair efforts.
- Drive and implement continuous improvements within Lean processes to optimize operations.

- Demonstrated technical competence in industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
