Position Overview: The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety and a proven track record in driving a culture of safety excellence. This role requires 20% travel time across Puerto Rico to ensure safety protocols are upheld at all job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs in compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at various construction sites across the island.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide EHS training to employees and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safe work practices are followed.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Manage EHS documentation, including safety manuals, procedures, and training records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
  • Experience in creating, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence a culture of safety.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time across Puerto Rico.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
